South Beach Church's 1st Annual "Roar Like a Lion 5K & Kids Fun Run" took place on Saturday, August 20, 2022! After the race, event activities include free food, entertainment & fun for the whole family, including bounce houses & outdoor carnival-style games.
PLACE Park at the SB Church. The event is in the Wilder Community. Shuttles are available.
Kids Fun Run: Kids ages 12 & under will run an exciting, kid-friendly trail around the property! Kids ages 0-5 will start at 9a and race to complete one 1/4-mile loop. The completion of their race, ages 6-12 will then begin their race to complete four laps for a total of 1 mile. Swag bags & ribbons will be provided for all finishers, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in the 1-mile race! Please be sure your kiddos have close-toed shoes as there are exposed roots & the trail is dusty.
5K Walk/Run: This will be a mixed road + trail run through the trails surrounding the Wilder community. (Official course map to be posted at a later date.) Awards will be provided to the top three finishers in each of our age divisions (12 & under, 13-18, 19-39, 40-59, 60+) as well as an overall male & female prize. The trail is bumpy & narrow in spots, so no strollers or pets will be allowed on the course. After the race, we invite everyone to join us for food, entertainment & fun for the whole family, including bounce houses & outdoor carnival-style games. All proceeds from this event will be used to support South Beach Christian School, serving kids in Lincoln County from Preschool through 8th grade. Everything we do, we do For the Glory of God & the Good of Others!
