Beach Access and Local Programs

Newport offers programs designed to support greater beach access throughout the year.

David’s Chair
Through David's Chair, visitors can reserve specialized beach wheelchairs that allow for access across sand and near the shoreline. Availability varies and advance planning is encouraged.

Seasonal Mobi Mats
During peak season, select beach access points may include mobility mats that create firmer pathways across the sand. Currently, due to weather conditions, no Mobi Mats are available.
