Drop-In Figure Drawing

Standing easels will be provided, and there will be a limited number of spaces for seated drawing at table-top easels, for those unable to work while standing. Participants are also welcome to work while seated in a chair with a sketchbook in their lap.

About the event
Coastal Arts Guild (CAG) and Oregon Coast Council for the Arts are once again sponsoring a monthly drop-in figure drawing series on select Sundays throughout 2024 at the Newport Visual Arts Center.
This is an opportunity for artists of any skill level to experience figure drawing from life, with a live model. The model will be wearing fitted clothing and will begin with a series of quick gestures, followed by longer standing and seated poses. While the event will be facilitated by a CAG volunteer, who will be available to answer questions, participants should note that there will be no formal instruction.
