Nye Beach, Newport
Kick off the season with a cozy neighborhood celebration! Explore local shops in the Nye Beach District from 4 PM – 7 PM, enjoy gift raffles, live music, and festive treats as businesses open their doors for this cheerful annual tradition.
November 22
Taft Dock, Lincoln City
Kick off the season with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Arrive by 4:45 PM for the 5 PM lighting ceremony at Taft Dock. Enjoy carols, festive treats, and a photo with Santa.
November 28–29 & December 5–6, 12–13, 19–20
Oregon Coast Aquarium
See the Oregon Coast Aquarium in a whole new light! Walk through dazzling underwater displays from 5 PM – 8 PM, meet Santa on the final weekends, and enjoy festive fun for the whole family.

Newport

December 1–January 2
Heceta Head Lighthouse, Yachats
Experience magical holiday lighting and open-house evenings at the historic Keeper’s Home next to the lighthouse. The lightstation’s Christmas lights will be on display from December 1 through January 2, featuring carols, treats, and stunning ocean views.
December 6
Yaquina Bay, Newport
Join us for an evening of lights on Yaquina Bay! A beloved Newport tradition since 1994, the Lighted Boat Parade fills the Bayfront with festively decorated boats, live music, and cheer.
5pm-6:30pm: lighted boat parade along the Abbey Street Pier for a view of the parade. We will be serving hot cocoa and cookies.
7pm (following parade): Tree Lighting in front of Ripley
Ripley's Believe It or Not! World of Adventure.
December 6
Newport Recreation Center
Join us for a magical morning at our "Breakfast with Santa" event! This event is usually on a Saturday and includes breakfast, music, craft, and a chance to meet and take pictures with Santa. Pre-registration is recommended for this family friendly event.
December 6–7
Yachats Commons, Yachats
Celebrate the season in cozy coastal style. The festival at the Yachats Commons includes a Holiday Vendor Fair (Saturday 10 AM–4 PM, Sunday 10 AM–3 PM), wreath-making workshops, a “Hot Cocoa Trail” through town, and culminates Saturday evening with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony around 5 PM.

Newport PAC
Enjoy classic holiday tunes performed by the Lincoln Pops and Big Band at the Performing Arts Center.

Newport Recreation Center
Join in holiday cheer at the Aquatic Center with Santa! This event is usually on a Saturday and includes games, swimming, and of course, a photo op with Santa. Pre-registration is recommended for this family friendly event.

Local Ocean Seafoods, Newport
Browse local art and handmade gifts at the Holiday Artisans Market from 5 PM – 8 PM at Local Ocean Seafoods on the Bayfront. Find unique treasures and support local makers while you shop with a view of the harbor.
December 12–13
Newport PAC
Feel the energy of live holiday rock! A festive concert experience that brings seasonal classics and rock favorites together in one unforgettable show.
December 19–21
Newport PAC
Enjoy a heart-warming evening of family-friendly holiday comedy with the Red Octopus Theatre Company. Expect Santa appearances, indoor snow, hot cocoa, and thousands of freshly baked cookies at this beloved local tradition.
Catch the King Tides
Witness nature’s power in Newport during the king tides on December 5 and 6. Marvel at the roaring waves and the awe-inspiring rise of the sea as it crashes along the shoreline.
